June 29, 1944: "Patrick Lopez is employed by the National Park Service in connection with the grazing service as a lookout at Zenobia Peak 50 miles northeast of Vernal, near Brown's Park.
Mr. Lopez's new look-out station is equipped with a short wave radio set for contact with the grazing service.

June 15, 1961: "This year the Zenobia Peak Fire lookout station will again be manned for the first time since the 1940's. Delbert Ducey of Greystone, Colorado, will perform the duties there." (Vernal Express)
December 17, 1964: "A new fire lookout tower was constructed by monument maintenance personnel on Zenobia Peak. This project was completed late in the fall and is ready for full-time operation when the fire season starts next year." (Vernal Express)
