May 22, 1953: "The Forest Service has announced it is rebuilding its fire lookout tower on Fletcher Peak in the Laramie Peak division of the Medicine Bow National Forest.

February 14, 1954: "The La Prele district of the Laramie Peak division, Medicine Bow National Forest, announced through Ranger Andrew Wright in Casper that it has erected a new lookout tower in Fletcher Park as added protection for an area highly susceptible to lightning fires.
A lookout and guard did most of the work in their spare time. The steel tower is perched atop a rock 250 feet high. Construction materials were snaked up the steep incline by rope." (Casper Star-Tribune)
